Please join us Sunday, 5/3 to for our 5th annual Bubba’s Bash to celebrate our incredible BUBBA
We will be spending the day making sure Bubba knows how loved he is, and how many people he’s touched over the last 5 years since joining our farmily.
For those that aren’t familiar with why we dedicate our spring festival to Bubba every year, he’s come a very long way over the last 5 years with us and we’re extremely proud of him. On 4/28/21, we drove almost 2 hours to rescue a near-200lb pig that was living confined to a dog cage in the dining room of a North Philadelphia row home. Being morbidly obese due to confinement and an improper diet, weighing close to double what he should have, caused Bubba to be “fat blind” (fat on his face was so bad, it covered his eyes). Within the first 2 years in our care, our amazing Bubba lost 100lbs (losing 70lbs in his first year with us ), and in Sept 2022, was healthy enough to undergo surgery to remove the fat rolls from his face that were covering his eyes. That surgery completely restored his eyesight, and gave him a new life.
So please join us in celebrating our 5 year mark with Bubba on Sunday, 5/3 from 10am-4pm! You’ll get to interact with and learn about all of our animals, take a pony ride, and check out our vendors offering their products and services. Take advantage of visiting Head Over Hooves Farm Sanctuary for just $10/per person, and under 2 free! Great fun for the entire family! Tickets can be purchased upon arrival to the farm. Cash and Venmo accepted. All proceeds go directly towards the care of the animals
